We currently have the following roles available: Fundraising Officer - Apprentice role Job Types: Part-time, Apprenticeship Part-time hours: 16 hours per week, working flexibly Salary: £NMW per hour Closing Date: 23.7.21 Job Description: The role is varied as we will be training the successful candidate in all areas of fundraising: To develop and design fundraising materials, including newsletters, fundraising leaflets, sponsorship packages and letters to donors To identify, develop and deliver new fundraising activities and events in conjunction with the Fundraising Plan To engage, develop and maintain professional relationships with individual members of the local community, local companies and other community organisations in order to promote one off donations and regular giving To maintain appropriate records to ensure fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely acknowledgements, thank you letters, donor reports & HMRC gift aid claims To prepare, submit and follow-up new fundraising applications and initiatives To support capital fundraising appeals as and when they arise To assist in writing reports and plans which inform decision making at Senior Management and Trustee levels To provide support for collaborative fundraising in conjunction with other partners What does the Level 3 Fundraiser Apprenticeship cover? This level 3 apprenticeship training programme enables fundraising professionals to further develop their skills in raising funds and awareness for their charity. It is suitable for fundraising, development and income generation officers and executives, as well as major donor/gift fundraisers, corporate partnerships fundraisers, events/community fundraisers and legacy fundraiser relationship managers. You will learn commercially-focused fundraising methods and relationship building approaches, build fundraising plans and use various communication methods to engage with the wider organisation. Over the duration of up to 30 months part-time, you will receive a combination of face-to-face and online training and support. You will undertake an online assessment that will help us to understand your learning style and needs, then we will tailor your learning experience accordingly. We ensure that you stay on track to complete your programme on time by managing your progress through our state-of-the-art e-portfolio system, Smart Assessor. Entry requirements You must have been a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake this training programme. In addition, you must be able to commit to the full length of the programme, and be able to meet the programme modules through your job role. If you do not have a level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English, you will be required to work towards achieving these qualifications as part of your apprenticeship.
