Chief Executive Officer

To take complete responsibility for the management of Children First Derby, its staff, service delivery, and premises.

Experience required: Leadership capability and management experience, including finance, staff, and premises. Experience of success in funding bids and fundraising. Experience of voluntary sector management an advantage. Enhanced DBS, car and clean driving licence required

Hours: 25 hours per week - worked flexibly over 3 or 4 days

Contract type: Part-time. Permanent

Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per year (depending on experience)

Supervised Contact Worker

To supervise contact sessions for Looked After Children and their family members.

To be part of a team providing a high quality, supervised contact service to enable children to meet with their parents, siblings and significant others as outlined in their contact plan. The service is to be in line with the requirements and regulations of Derby Children & Young People’s Services and of Children First Derby. Contact workers also carry out related tasks to ensure the smooth running of the service, including transporting children by car, plus a variety of support and administrative tasks.

Experience required: Level 3 in childcare or equivalent, enhanced DBS, clean driving licence and daily use of a car are required

Hours: 16 hours per week - worked flexibly across 4 days, Monday to Saturday

Contract type: Part-time. Temporary contract to 31 March 2021, with a view to extension

Salary: £7,943 per year

Assistant Mentoring Service Coordinator

To assist the Mentoring Service Coordinator to manage and further develop a high-quality mentoring service in Derby for vulnerable young people, aged 10 to 16 years. The Coordinator is responsible for the day to day running of the service and for the recruitment, training, and supervision of the mentoring service volunteers.

Hours: 10 hours per week - worked flexibly across 3 days from Monday to Friday, with the occasional requirement to work weekends or evenings

Contract type: Part-time. Temporary contract of 6 months, with a view to extension

Salary: £5,356 per year
