We have had a fantastic two days fundraising at the 100 World Legends Charity Golf and Rugby event, held at Chevin Golf Club and at Derby Rugby Club.

We’d like to thank our amazing Fundraising volunteers for all their hard work and fundraising efforts working with Children First Derby staff members, holding a series of fundraising activities during the two day event including: cakes and sweet sales, tombola, guess the number of sweets in a jar competition and face painting by the talented Wendy Horsman.

Yesterday we enjoyed the 100 World Legends Charity Golf Day, where competing teams of three were each joined by a Legend, putting their skills to the test in an 18-hole golfing competition.

And today’s line up included watching the children’s rugby coaching session this morning, followed by the amazing 100 World Legends tournament.

Some of our supported children were also invited to attend a special climbing session at Alter Rock this morning. Accompanied by Children First Derby staff members Mark Davidson, and Siraj Ali, our supported young people were excited to meet with Legends Neil Clapham, and Paul Samson - traversing with the Legends on the Air Walk aerial assault course before competing against them in a race to reach the top!

The 100 World Legends event also included two evening events; with a fantastic BBQ with the Legends held at Angelo's Bistro, Duffield, on Friday evening, followed by a Legends Party which is currently in full swing at the George & Dragon in Belper, where guests are enjoying a BBQ and live music.

We would like to say a special Thank You to event organisers Richard Beevers, and Adele Hill, from Customer Plus for all your hard work and efforts in putting together another first class event, and for choosing to once again support Children First Derby, alongside two other local charities and The Association of Ukrainians.

It’s been a superb, fun-packed event. And we are delighted to have been involved.
