Some of our supported children recently enjoyed a fantastic action-packed activity day at Alter Rock Indoor Climbing Gym and Activity Centre, where they enjoyed traversing over 600 square metres of graded climbing walls and boulders.

And we would like to say a special thank you to our friends and supporters at Inchcape Toyota Derby, who helped us fund this special day for our supported children as part of our Summer Activity Scheme, which ran during the recent school holidays.

The Summer Activity scheme is delivered by our Family Support and Mentoring Services, who work hard to organise a series of diverse activities for our supported children to participate in during the school holidays.

These activity outings help to reduce social isolation, enabling the children to establish positive relationships with others and allowing them to participate in new, creative activities that they would otherwise be unable to experience.

We rely on fundraising and donations to help fund this scheme, so we were grateful to receive the generous donation of £1,800 from our friends at Inchcape Toyota Derby, which was presented to Children First Derby during our recent Ladies Lunch Event.

This generous donation was made after a successful bid was put forward to the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow – a programme of small grants designed to help local charities, schools and community projects.

Thank you to everyone at Inchcape Toyota Derby for your continued support, helping us to support vulnerable children, young people and families across Derbyshire.
