Local Businessman Donates Derby County Season Tickets to Children First Derby We would like to say a special Thank You to supporter, Chris Smith, who has kindly donated two Derby County Football Club season tickets to Children First Derby, so that some of our supported young people can enjoy a match day experience. Chris, who has lived in Derby all his life and is a Managing Director of successful local business, PKF Smith Cooper Systems Ltd, is an avid Derby County supporter and has been a season ticket holder for 40 years. Keen to share his passion for the game and wanting to give something back, Chris generously donated two Derby County season tickets to our charity’s Mentoring Service - providing an opportunity for different mentees to attend the Derby County games, with their respective mentors, throughout the season. Something which we would otherwise be unable to provide. Being able to add new activities, such as this, to our mentoring programme is incredibly valuable -allowing not only for a great shared experience, but also helping to strengthen the lines of communication between our mentees and mentors, giving them lots to talk about in the lead up, during, and after the game. First to enjoy the match day experience was Children First Derby mentee, Kian, who along with mentor, James, thoroughly enjoyed watching last week’s Derby County game against Luton – which ended in a 2-2 draw, with two great goals from Derby County! We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Chris for providing such a wonderful experience for our supported young people, which is very much appreciated. If you’d like to make a donation and help us support local children, young people and families, please get in touch.
