We were honoured to attend the Mayor of Derby’s Charity Fund Presentation last night, and to receive a very generous donation of £1,250 for Children First Derby.
During his term in office as Mayor, Councillor Frank Harwood has been involved in various fundraising initiatives, raising money to support local charities.
We were delighted to be asked to attend the presentation in the Council Chamber and to learn that Councillor Harwood had chosen Children First Derby as one of his supported charities.
Children First Derby Fundraising Coordinator, Gina Repton, was invited to say a few words about the positive work the charity does to support vulnerable children, young people and families in the Derby area. And our Secretary, Fatimah Razak, was presented with the generous cheque.
We were thrilled to attend the uplifting presentation, alongside Councillor Harwood’s other chosen charities, The Air Ambulance Service, Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre, me & dee, and Treetops Hospice.
And we would like to say a heartfelt Thank You to Councillor Harwood for choosing to support Children First Derby.
